Best Practices for using Sneaky Balm

Remember that it is made to be worn as a tint and apply light layers.
Lock down your skin care routine, and be sure to exfoliate regularly with a chemical exfoliant.
Apply moisturizer beforehand to prime the skin and even out your skin's natural oils.
Set lightly with a translucent powder if you have oily skin and you prefer to keep the shine down throughout the day (if you like a dewy look then feel free to skip!)

The sneakiest skin tint. A soft, dewy finish. Long lasting for a hydrating skin tint type of formula, not long lasting compared to a matte finish liquid foundation, so let's say medium lasting? Medium lasting! They're chock full of nourishing ingredients like pomegranate, jojoba, & grape seed oils, and contain absolutely zero nonsense ingredients like talc, fragrance, or mineral oil.

Packaging

Zero waste. We designed this system to be as good for the planet as it is for your face. We spent months talking to recycling experts, and researching all the ways we could deliver these precious square babies to y'all without compromising our standards. We landed on simple envelopes that are both recyclable and made from post consumer recycled paper. They have a small insert in the front to protect the tints, but don't worry if your pan becomes intimate with the insert and things...get a little messy. It's perfectly normal for the tint to get on the back of the insert and won't affect the quality of your product at all.

I was a skeptic

I’m a person with normal skin, over 40, have always enjoyed a medium natural satin coverage. Oh and I live in one of the most humid climates in America, New Orleans. This product was something I’d seen reviewed a lot from people with very dry skin who live in climates not nearly as intense as I do, so I skipped over it. For years. I also have an unusual undertone. I’m a cool blue light-light medium. Basically everything I’ve heard espoused about this product is a nah for me. But in the midst of ordering a few other products, I figured I’d give it a shot after reaching out about a shade match. I was looking to start using less product on my face due to age. At the price point I figured if it doesn’t work, I can trash it.

I do not often eat my words but…. Omnomnom I guess. This product doesn’t go greasy. It doesn’t travel everywhere, it doesn’t gather in my fine lines, it fades evenly and not in a mottled ugly fashion. It handles my redness and discoloration from sun damage, not in a blank it out and erase it way, but a softening and lessening so that my skin looks like skin, but better. And I know, I know, every product says “your skin but better” and for me that has proven to be absolute nonsense. It’s either greasy or non existent. This is not “glowy”, it’s not matte, it looks like I drink enough water, sleep 8 hours, am not filled with existential dread from the world falling apart… sneaky balm indeed. Who knew it was named perfectly?

The learning curve is real. I am used to liquid foundation and applying my makeup almost without thinking, in a zen-like space until I get creative with the eyes. I do have to think and consider this product but that’s my newness to it.

Will I wear it when it’s 90+ degrees and 70% humidity? Probably no. But wearing makeup in those extremes is testy anyway. It’s a damn good product. And I’ll end up repurchasing when it runs out. Loyalty to product is not easily earned by me. This stuff is legit. Understand what it is and what it seeks to do. This isn’t a full beat. But it is undeniably the best product with these goals that I’ve ever tried. Period.

formula is perfection. the green of this is wonderful to neutralize facial redness. i am not olive enough to wear on its own, but great paired with n11. love that it doesnt have that unflattering white base most green correctors do.

Incredible Match !

It’s so difficult to find a good match for my light to light- medium olive skin tone. This nailed it! So happy with the match and the feel of this balm. I also ordered the olive green corrector shade to help me with all those near misses I still own .
I need to mention the customer service was excellent!

I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t make me break out. It has great coverage but also blurring if needed.
