Best Practices for using Sneaky Balm
- Remember that it is made to be worn as a tint and apply light layers.
- Lock down your skin care routine, and be sure to exfoliate regularly with a chemical exfoliant.
- Apply moisturizer beforehand to prime the skin and even out your skin's natural oils.
- Set lightly with a translucent powder if you have oily skin and you prefer to keep the shine down throughout the day (if you like a dewy look then feel free to skip!)

Sneaky Balm Hydrating Skin Tint
The sneakiest skin tint. A soft, dewy finish. Long lasting for a hydrating skin tint type of formula, not long lasting compared to a matte finish liquid foundation, so let's say medium lasting? Medium lasting! They're chock full of nourishing ingredients like pomegranate, jojoba, & grape seed oils, and contain absolutely zero nonsense ingredients like talc, fragrance, or mineral oil.
- Vegan + cruelty free
- Non-comedogenic
- Hand poured in New York City
- So fresh
- So clean
- So fresh and so clean clean
Packaging
Zero waste. We designed this system to be as good for the planet as it is for your face. We spent months talking to recycling experts, and researching all the ways we could deliver these precious square babies to y'all without compromising our standards. We landed on simple envelopes that are both recyclable and made from post consumer recycled paper. They have a small insert in the front to protect the tints, but don't worry if your pan becomes intimate with the insert and things...get a little messy. It's perfectly normal for the tint to get on the back of the insert and won't affect the quality of your product at all.

I love this make up, it feels great on and looks amazing. It seems to last all day with a setting spray and setting powder if you choose to use one.
I am 53 with combo/oily skin. This looks beautiful when I first apply. However, I wish it lasted longer. I am still playing around with how to set it to make it last. I will definitely continue to keep trying on those days that I want to look natural.
I first tried the skin tint in 2022. I liked it (lightweight, good match, comfortable) but had issues with it looking too greasy on my T-zone, emphasizing pores with the shine it left, and not lasting more than 2-3 hours. I reached out to Salt New York asking for recommendations on what powders or setting sprays work well with the formula, but the response was “it’s super subjective, requiring a little trial and error, good luck”. An honest answer. I tried maybelline fit me powder, elf halo glow, Jane iredale powder, dermablend translucent powder, and mac mattifying setting spray. Nothing really got me the results I wanted and I felt like I was trying to “make fetch happen” when it just wasn’t going to. So I concluded the brand didn’t fit my goals and wasn’t for me. I decided to try it again 3 years later because my skin is much drier these days, and I loved Kiki’s informative video about her new concealer. The skin tint works better for my dry skin these days, and looking back I think I was using too much of it back when I first tried it. But it still doesn’t really last. So it’s not my go to for work days when I want my make-up to keep me looking and feeling professional for at least most of the day. I use it more on the weekend or just when I want a little bit of comfortable makeup to look nice but that I don’t need to last long.
Beautiful, sheer tint that truly feels like nothing is on the skin! Layers over my skincare with no issues (I have a pretty robust skincare routine and don't skimp on the SPF). I prefer to apply it with a rounded brush that has some movement so I can alternate between swiping and buffing the tint into the skin. I also love the pallette and the concept of only buying refills - the overall product just makes me excited to use it! Definitely recommend if you're struggling to find a perfectly sheer skin-like tint!
